El presidente de Chile, Sebastián Piñera, junto al subsecretario de Turismo, Daniel Pardo, han lanzado el proyecto 'Rutas Chile' que ofrece un concepto de rutas auto-guiadas con nueva señalización turística especialmente diseñada para quienes disfrutan de viajar por la carretera con el propósito de incentivar a los chilenos a conocer y recorrer más su propio país, según informó el Ministerio de Economía, Fomento y Turismo chileno.

"Cerca del 60% de los chilenos utiliza el automóvil como medio de transporte para llegar al destino, y para mejorar esta experiencia desarrollamos este proyecto que no solo mejora la información turística vial, sino además, ayuda a los proyectos empresariales turísticos en torno a los circuitos, incentiva nueva oferta y contribuye a la promoción de destinos emergentes", señaló Daniel Pardo.

Son ocho rutas a lo largo del país, y su peculiaridad es que son temáticas. Cada ruta está definida por un conjunto de características culturales, patrimoniales y turísticas de los destinos, que le dan una línea temática que refleja la identidad del territorio.

"Para Sernatur, Rutas Chile pretenden ser un atractivo turístico por si sólo, el turista podrá elegir qué ruta recorrer de acuerdo a sus intereses. Si les gusta el desierto, podrán conocer toda la Ruta del Desierto que considera destinos de Arica y Parinacota, Tarapacá, Antofagasta y Atacama, o bien, sólo elegir algunos circuitos en función de su tiempo o de actividades que desee realizar", destacó el subsecretario de Turismo.

RUTAS AUTOGUIADAS

'Rutas Chile' no sólo se aprecia a través de la nueva señalización, Sernatur también lanzó el portal 'Rutas Chile' (http://rutas.chileestuyo.cl) donde el rutero podrá planificar completamente sus circuitos.

Podrán conocer las especificaciones la descripción de las rutas y sus circuitos con sus respectivos mapas, clima e información sobre los atractivos turísticos así como buscar por filtros de categoría.

Lo novedoso de esta señalización es que contiene tres niveles de información. La primera, indica el nombre de la ruta y va con el logo de 'Ruta Chile' que identifica que es una ruta turística. El segundo nivel entrega información vial, indicando el nombre del destino, y un tercer nivel, informa sobre el circuito turístico que podrá recorrer el turista.
