Thank you for coming to my briefing tonight.

Upon request from one of the participants, I am sharing the key elements of PM Abe's statement during the closing session, which reflect the priorities for the incoming G20 presidency, as follows:

At the Osaka Summit next June, I wish to pursue the objectives of promoting world economic growth and realizing free, open, inclusive and sustainable society.

Japan is at the forefront of various new challenges such as aging society, energy and environmental issue. Japan wishes to take the lead in the efforts to overcome these challenges that many countries will soon be facing in common.

I wish to promote discussion on creating a human-centered society whereby;
- economic growth and social issues will be addressed simultaneously by using innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, and
- all stakeholders, including women, youth, aged people and persons with disabilities, will be able to fulfill their potentials.

I will take over one of Argentina's priority agenda, "Infrastructure for development" and contribute to stronger connectivity through quality infrastructure that Japan has been promoting. I will also promote the development of international public goods, indispensable to the world economic growth such as global health.

In the field of energy and environment, we need creative ideas to generate  a virtuous cycle of environment and growth by actively introducing private investment. I also wish to discuss G20's contribution on global issues such as tackling climate change and marine plastic debris.
