La finalidad será desarrollar proyectos en el área de la nanotecnología y estimular las acciones del gobierno argentino para fomentar la formación de recursos humanos altamente capacitados.

Sobre cooperación bilateral

Con Bélgica Argentina y Bélgica desarrollan programas de cooperación desde 1999 con el Fondo Nacional para la Investigación Científica de la Comunidad Francesa (FNRS), en el marco en el que se han ejecutado 37 proyectos. También participa en iniciativas junto al Fondo para la Investigación Científica de Flandes (FWO), con 50 proyectos finalizados. Por su parte el programa RAICES (Red de Argentinos Investigadores y Científicos en el Exterior), que depende del Ministerio de Ciencia, tiene presencia en Bélgica a través de la Red de Científicos Argentinos en Bélgica y Luxemburgo (RCABL), de donde han regresado ocho investigadores argentinos repatriados. Asimismo, ambos países participan bilateralmente en más de 40 proyectos financiados en el marco de la Unión Europea.

Con Portugal Argentina y Portugal mantienen actividades de cooperación en ciencia y tecnología desde 1981 entre las cuales se pueden mencionar: la iniciativa denominada “movilidad de investigadores”, que registra 43 proyectos ejecutados; más de 100 recursos humanos formados mediante el intercambio de jóvenes investigadores; así como también publicaciones y presentaciones en simposios realizados en conjunto. Finalmente, en el marco del 7mo. Programa Marco de la Unión Europea, Argentina compartió 29 proyectos con instituciones portuguesas.

La Dirección Nacional de Relaciones Internacionales promueve el fortalecimiento de la cooperación internacional -a nivel bilateral, multilateral y regional- en ciencia, tecnología e innovación productiva como herramienta estratégica en el diseño de políticas nacionales en investigación y desarrollo. Su objeto principal se orienta a fortalecer, complementar e integrar las capacidades de I+D locales con el exterior a través de la realización de proyectos conjuntos, talleres y seminarios, intercambio de expertos y transferencia de tecnología con la participación activa de centros de investigación y empresas de base tecnológica. El Programa RAÍCES (Red de Argentinos Investigadores y Científicos en el Exterior) y el desarrollo de redes de vinculación con investigadores argentinos residentes en el exterior, son acciones prioritarias de la DNRI.
